Reflections on 2019-2020 #COVID

The memory of 120 children and adults frolicking in the pool on March 5, 2020 is strong; jumping, rolling, splashing, connecting, laughing, tickling – a cacophonic surge of bodies in the changeroom moving quickly and inefficiently to catch the bus home (because we all wanted to remain in the water until the very last moment). I would have hired a photographer to document the moment had I known it would be the last day of school. COVID 19 sucker punched the world; foreshadowed in film, ignored in real life, we were not prepared.
